WOW!!! even if you try to tell people about a cheap patch, the stink
comes up everywhere. It seems that every subject you talk about or
try to help people, someone jumps on it.
I feel that things could and can get better, and I am also proud
that finally our District has a full time position for Royal Rangers.
I think we need to look at GPH and understand that the new program we
are handing them. Is like a family going out to dinner, and the all
eat one plate full ( a steak). What has happened with the new
program, is the family "GPH" is trying to eat a whole herd instead of
one steak. It is just to much printing and publishing in a very
short time. I too was very put out and down on the National Offices,
But I now know that we needed change and us old dogs need to learn
again too. I feel that this needed new program will continue be added
to and improved. I am very excited about it and believe when it is
fully released many will want it in their churches. Rangers is
changing and needed to be changed for years. We must renew our
vision, aims, and goals to reach boys for Christ. I work in a school,
and I can guarantee you that they are not using 1960's workbooks and
manuals. And all across the board every teacher will say that
students and society has changes in the pass 40 years. We are not
teaching the same type of kids just a few years ago. They have
changed and we need to change with them too. I'm not saying change
our purpose, that is to "REACH TEACH AND KEEP BOYS FOR CHRIST"
It's time to change the way we teach them.
also I sure hope you're not driving a 1962 car now either, because it
is vintage and almost considered antique. I believe Rangers is the
greatest program, but lets go with a new one, because it gets us
there faster, better and more comfortable. Instead of trying to just
put new tires on a old car,
