A long time ago, We had a preacher come and *Preach up a storm on a hot summer California night..
He started to preach about being *ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL.. and how such folks were "lilly livered lukewarm cowards that God would spew out of his mouth.." *there was a lot of *a-men brother.. being said. Then he said: "..and some folks consider me a religious fanatic, WELL I'M HERE TO TELL YOU I LOVE JESUS AND THE HOLYGHOST WITH POWER AND IF THAT'S FANATICAL THEN I'LL HOOT LIKE A OWL AND BARK LIKE A DOG! ...FOR JESUS!" Norwalk Assembly of God was feeling peppy that night.<G> *I as a young man felt manipulated emotionaly, and it seemed that whooping it up was what we were supposed to do.. *I guess if the Preacher was in a Ranger uniform, same as mine it'd be assumed that I would be a partner in what he was saying as fact.. *That one thing the uniform does. *Here's the deal.. *Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so.. I don't have to "Prove it or defend it" I don't have to be manipulated to feel his Love,or Dominated. I don't have to shout or do the pencostal 2 step. I don't have to wave my hankie in the air. I don't have to wear the Christian flag on my arm. ...and when I wear my Royal Ranger uniform, I can freely represent any aspect of the TOTAL BALANCED PROGRAM I choose without haveing to *Tow some line you or somebody else creates, because I am a free moral agent yeilded to *Christ, by my agreement. Now when we raise boys, we can try to "make them into clones of our will" or we might use a variety of tecniques to *share truth. For me, *I do not want anything that is forced on someone, like fanatical belief in a system or personality or "golden calf" but welcome something that is heartfelt and raises the Morale of all. *Does this make sence? *If a boy feels the Uniform is a "burden"..or has a 'consideration Let them choose to wear it, or NOT wear it. They are the Ranger.
