The merits are listed on www.royalrangers.ag.org for each age group. If you print out the merits you can start the boys working on them, if you wish. However the old advancements can be traded in for the new merits when you change over by Dec. 2003. I just went through the Transition class. The Powderhorn is worth 2 merits, or the Red Falcon. The Bowie knife is worth 6 merits or the Silver Falcon and so on. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong. The books are supposed to ready by Spring 2003. At  our  meeting  we were  shown  we  can  start the  transition  for the  other  boys they  showed  the numver  of red  and  blue  merits needed  for  each  boy in the  pioneer  program. And  i have  seen  the  new  merit  rrquirements  for  the merits  on the  national  web  page. But  i am  wondering if  they are waiting till next  year to release the merit  books that were  supposed  to  be  released with the  merits. Thanks Harry Smith
