This works.

Buy yourself a Walmart Dart Gun. With 2 extra packs of darts. Cost is
about 20.00. Setup a safe firing range (I use our Bulletin Board and a
room divider and a table across the end to put the gun on) Buy some
balloons, candy and maybe a pocket knife, flash light or two and the boys
that wear uniforms get to shoot for prizes. Keep this up for a month or
two as a pre meeting activity, middle meeting activity and it wont'
belong before all your boys are wearing the uniform. (Everybody that
shoots gets candy only one maybe two get a pocket knife)

We started out. Parents buy the shirt, outpost provides the pants, belt,
patches. After recruit status we give the boy a uniform. Yes we have
given many uniforms out that never came back to our outpost but went on
to other outposts or hung in their closet every day for them to see when
they got ready for school.

We now have a Uniform Rack and can just about outfit anyone with a
uniform. When the boys outgrow their uniform we exchange it for one that
fits. Some times new sometimes well worn.

The uniform is a good sign of a outpost that has its act together. Just
as advancement show the health of a outpost so do Uniforms.

I have boys come to our Outpost simply because they asked someone who was
wearing a khaki class B uniform to a Wed night meeting and stopped at a
store to pick some thing up. God is in it guys and gals all we have to
be is faithful to it and do our little part. It cost a few dollars more
but is no more work to put on Khaki as it does to put on blue jeans and a
tee-shirt. Get with the program. Your vision is your boys vision.
Strive to be READY and do it RIGHT!

It works. God Bless all of you for your dedication and the efforts you
strive for. Every thing you do makes a difference. Let's do Royal
Rangers and R, T, and Keep them for Christ.
