OK, I'll take you at your word that Ken Hunt approved it.  But since it still has not made it into print, I'll take it that it must not yet be a National Policy.  Until then, I'll sew mine on. 
 
It is in much the same vein as our District's "99" Staff Patch.  People have said that Johnnie Barns "OK'd" it, but apparently it was never put in writing.  Therefore it was never approved by National for us to wear one.  Most of us have taken them off our uniforms, after we realized that it was NOT approved.    Our uniform should be according to what National sets down as a standard, it is not up to us to take it upon ourselves to make changes in it until it has been run up the "flag pole" and received the stamp of approval from the National Office.  If we want changes, we need to follow the chain of command and send it up for consideration by the ones that are empowered to make those decisions.

If you ask my personal opinion, it looks tacky - but that is just that, personal opinion.  When National embraces it & puts it into print, I will put it out as such.
