OK, I'll take you at your word that Ken Hunt approved
it. But since it still has not made it into print, I'll take it
that it must not yet be a National Policy. Until then, I'll sew
mine on.
It is in much the same vein as our District's "99"
Staff Patch. People have said that Johnnie Barns "OK'd" it, but
apparently it was never put in writing. Therefore it was never approved by
National for us to wear one. Most of us have taken them off our
uniforms, after we realized that it was NOT approved. Our
uniform should be according to what National sets down as a standard, it is not
up to us to take it upon ourselves to make changes in it until it has been run
up the "flag pole" and received the stamp of approval from the National
Office. If we want changes, we need to follow the chain of command and
send it up for consideration by the ones that are empowered to make those
decisions.

PS:
If you ask my personal opinion, it looks tacky - but
that is just that, personal opinion. When National embraces it
& puts it into print, I will put it out as such.
