Habbenzee ACME products in Dutchland?

Like you know from liveing in Canada, the stores are
filled with product today, all packaged in clear plastic.

They are clean and well lit.. and while you only need one
bolt, you must buy 6 in the package and try them out after
purchase in the parking lot.. then hassle exchangeing them
with a lady clerk.

In "Old America" the Hardware store was a jumble of disorganized
leftover products, odd-ball fittings that they would just give
away if you bought some paint or fuel<G>

Say you where building a Jet pack to catch a roadrunner-

Old hardware store owners would spend 2 hours messing with
plumbing parts and electric and "rig something up"...

They would charge $1.45 and say "Just a buck will do.."
"and i got this ACME jet fuel sitting around..
it's yours if you want it"

Today, ACE may be the place.. but it's likely more the
place for milk, cookies and candy bars..
