Ok -
#1. Pray about it and wait on Him for an answer.
Maybe His answer is to give you more zeal, maybe not. Prayer changes things-sometimes its us-sometimes it the situation.
#2. This may be a test -do we just do what feels good at the time. What about committment?!
I've gone through this also-I was ready to quit and run away-fast and hard. But God didn't want me to do that even though I felt burned out and had some real good excuses why I should quit. He wanted to build patience and perserverance in my life. Now thats what He wanted for me and He showed me how much I was needed in Rangers and how much I needed Rangers.

Subject: [RR] When to step down

All,
I know this might be a basic question, but, how do you know when its time to step down?
For the last several months, I have been thinking about stepping down. Since my outpost has started doing the one Saturday a month deal. I more or less have lost my zeal for Royal Rangers.
Because of this, I've been thinking about stepping down from being a commander. Now don't get me wrong I still love Rangers and want to be a part in the program but not as a commander.
I'd rather be something along the lines of a "free agent" so I can come and go as I please.
At this point in time don't really know what to do. I'm hopeing some of you all can give some advice or pointers and let me take it from there. Really though what's the point of being a commander if you don't have the zeal for Rangers?

Thanks,
