*Sounds like the comming ageanda of every meeting is merit advancement<G>

If you held the RR meeting in a community center, and the boys came
because thay wanted to belong.. *as opposed to a drop off ministry
in support of the Wed.night Bible Study by Pastor..

And Parents (Mom's and Dads) stuck around to watch-

Instant Merit councilors would line the back wall and behavior
problems would end<G>

*You don't think that's important do you?<G> *I don't..
Learning is allways about give and take.. and makeing agreements
and shareing-

If it was about "content", we would have some national standards in place,
and we don't. *Ministry allways serves others-

I think if any Parent feels good about signing off a boys workbook..
I don't need to worry about advancement "integrity" or micro manage,
after all Commander has more important stuff to do..

Mom's likely know about "Family Life" *Let Sister burning heart be
the Family life expert<G>

*Sounds like Sunday School to me<G>

And the

*With respect- That is just so bogus..
and- I understand that is how it has to be- (*sigh...)

The Meetings need to be to domain of the boys, to group and gather..
fellowship, play and plan. This is a complete opposite to Sunday School
where boys enter sit and study a prepared lesson plan<G>

This is totaly backward to CHURCH!
(where you come, sit and revertly particpate in worship and lecture)

Hope it works good Jonathan, *I'd hand the "script" to Sr.Guide and
take a seat in the back row<G>

Not to say there isn't a role

*Gut the lesson plans,amigo- *if it sinks individualisum and achievement.

The "Meat" is delivered during a "Board of review" when a Raner is asked
to *reflect on his individual experiance, and not be a parrot of some
social engineer<G> I'm talk'n OUTCOME not "process here"..

To think that some ADULT hand's wisdom to a youth is wierd<G>

All of us have Grown up by *Trial and error..

Use the resources God gave us naturaly.. use the boys to work
on the boys! Let them succeed and council them when they seem
stalled, but get out of their way!

The first use of the term "Hey guys!" in a pre-packaged lesson
plan would have me on the floor with flint and steel<G> Burn baby burn!

*It's another form of playing basketball all the time-
We can do better...
