Because of the frequent postings of the RangerNet FAQ to UseNet, my other email address, [EMAIL PROTECTED], has become a spam magnet. Therefore, I'll keep posting using that address, but all email to that address will go to an autoresponder instead of to me. The autoresponder will ask people to resend their email me at [EMAIL PROTECTED], instead. Since most spammers don't read replies, that should reduce my spam load some. If someone actually writes a real personal message to me at that address, they will at least get the address to an email box that I really check and read.
I'm also trying out some new free spam filtering software from http://popfile.sourceforge.net/manual/installing.html to see how that works. I kind of miss Royal Rangers. I was actually in the same city with a Royal Rangers outpost a couple of weeks ago (Lae, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea), but when I went to the church where it was at their posted meeting time, I found out that they were on a break with the school break, and not meeting. (Summer vacation just ended today.) Alas, but they did have a good time of worship on Sunday morning at that Assembly of God, in spite of a city-wide power failure. (They ran a generator to power the PA system, electric guitars, and electric piano.) Praise God! Rev.
