If you aren't committed to keep an email address like I am with my main address, you can abandon it (like I just did with [EMAIL PROTECTED]) and get people to send email to your new address. You can easily change your subscription to RangerNet at http://RangerNet.org/subscribe.htm, and tell all of your friends your new address. This should cut down on spam for a while. If you are using a free service like Juno.com, it is easy to just create a new account and abandon the old one. (It is a little more of a hassle with a paid service or premium Juno.com accounts.)
It is kind of sad. I thought that [EMAIL PROTECTED] was a cool address.
You can also help with the link to porn site problem with web filter software. None of them are perfect, but the Faith Guardian software that I got from http://CFaith.com is a reasonable solution. There are others... try a web search.
I will set nothing wicked before my eyes;
I hate the work of those who fall away;
It shall not cling to me.

us all know. Email is a wonderful thing but the porn that comes with it

very very bad porn and as soon as you closed the window it brought up one
more.
I know this stuff is like second hand smoke and it will get you if you
take in enough of it. While trying to avoid this trash it seems to get
worse and more frequent.
If someone has a way to avoid this other than diging a hole in the ground
and sticking your head in it please let me/us know.
