In the parable of the talents the Lord gave differing amounts to each individual and told them to go and invest it. He didn't tell them to give it out and make sure everyone got the same amount. The individuals that invested their talents got more, the one that didn't invest lost what he had.
A guaranteed government income would come with strings attached...sounds like a form of slavery...
I watched a family member on welfare ... they hated the government intrusion into their lives but as it was pointed out they could not afford to get a job. God blessed them and they finally got out of the socialism cycle.

the new testament church is supposed to be the welfare system i believe. i'm
not saying the government shouldn't also help out poor but if you want a
guaranteed annual income, i guess a communist country is best for you. do
nothing, get
paid even less. a form of communism was attempted once in america, the
pilgrims
almost starved to death until they switched from communal land to private
land.
