Hey Hey Hey! After 24 years with SBC I get to take a vacation day for Saturday so I can go to the Ranger Kids Day Camp! YEA! I love my job! They are so good to me...(little sarcasm here)
Wed night at Rangers loaded up from the RR shed the climbing wall 2 ranger mobiles and 8 2x4s bolts, nuts and castle additions. Got home noticed the container that had all the bolts, climbing wall hand holds was GONE! Dark, copied 70 pictures for a side show demonstration burnt it to CD and handed it to one of our Councilmen and he took off on a search and rescue trip(I didn't know he was going to do that) and went to bed. Headed out a hour early to pickup my lost treasure during the day light got a pleasant cell call saying he found the bulk of the stuff and gave me the whereabouts so I was able to quickly find the remaining nuts, bolts, washers, wingnuts and handholds that were missed during the previous night rescue. Got the goods home in good shape unloaded all in my garage. Fixed Ranger mobile loose axles and reinforced for 100 boys going crazy on these two carts in the dirt! Aired up tires. Went into the back yard and hooked up the camper and almost got it up to my front yard...where the concrete ended and the grass started... waited with boleen tug of war rope till my daughter got home with my wifes blazer so I could finish the job of getting my truck and trailer from the side of my house. Got that done. Next day Reloaded tools, 2 carts 3 4x8 panels and 2 castle tops and the reclaimed buckets of bolts, hand holds..etc. Ladder and it was still raining. Got a call from my Sr. Commander that our group wouldn't be going out Friday night to setup due to the down pour.... So I plucked in a few more pages of the new ranger program catalog numbers into the Ranger Database and then went to bed. 5:30 loaded up my son and his neighbor who has be come my sons best friend and hasn't missed a ranger event since day one... and we headed off to the Dist Commanders Farm for the Ranger Kids Day Camp. Got there 45 min drive and was told RK Day was canceled....(It was still raining hard...) Just got home and unloaded the trailer. I love Ranges! Sometimes it goes great sometimes it goes even better! GRIN! Just thought I would liven up the Noah age debate with another RAIN Story. GRIN! HAR! Uuuaaooo! Here they come...with Tree House Plans... were off to Sutherlands to get some building stuff. The boys don't care it's raining outside. For that matter.... I don't care either! Ranger on Dude! Mark Jones p.s. I should have the WHOLE RANGER Catalog in the Ranger Database GPH.zip file soon. I have over 900 entries in it right now. Download a Free Royal Ranger Database. It's packed with goodies and it will make record keeping fun! Over 25 related databases and 11 years of field experience. Just like Salvation it's free! http://home.classicnet.net/mjones02/index.html ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
