Do I take your interpretation of God's Word or what has been preached from our Pastors Pulpit. I can't say anything about your pastor's view, but mine is based of a straightforward reading and research from various groups. You have neglected the third option: Do not take the opinions of others, but research for yourself. Here is fine case of a Day is it 24 hours or a 1000 years? Common sense: Why say "day" (yom) when you mean thousands of years? Exudos 20:11 reads: For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. A year is it 365 days or something else? I know what it is in my life today. I can't say beyond a doubt what it was 4000 years ago. I do believe God's word is infallible but man's interpretation of it...well it is less than perfect. God Bless you my brother.
