Like I might have said... My FCF "Outfit" alone is good for about 6 mins time before I "loose" the young minds to wander'n.. *My opinion now- is *that is just and fine. You got your interested boys who show empathy to yur struggle.. and yah got yur wild hairs! *It don't have anything to do with my agenda...
T328 finds both at home. -------------------------- Our "program format" is boy run and boy centered.. 1.The meetings may often be "funky" but they are facilitated by the boys and they seem to enjoy "good enough, just enough to avoid criticizum" (a off sight critque is held at PLC *Patrol leaders conference) 2. We use a "round robin system" of feature stations and so split the troop in half or more to allow smaller groups thanthe entire heard! (with a big group you must develop alternitives to lecture mode) 3. Any "Adult" can be drafted into service as a feature "Instructor" and they give over about 30-45 mins time.. I got 3 patrols of 6 (RR Commanders will be most at-home in this situation) Mr.Apling..ASM was doing rope craft opposite me in the gym.. 4. The "feature" time allways ends with a whimper.. and fades into a general social time untill closeing<G> (*any plan.. requires twice the time you first THINK you need) To regress.. I didn't know I was "on deck" I had to scramble for a "plan" *dress and load gear on the fly~ I had to multi-task and stay on purpose..
