I agree 100%. Jimmy Carter let a lot of Christians down from the reading I've
done. (I'm too young to have experienced it first hand). It's just know what
you say, but what you do. I don't know and can't judge Mr. Dean's heart, but
we have only his actions to go by. And we know he left his church and whole
denomination about a squable over bike paths and now claims his refound his
faith and that brought him to support gay marriage. Almost every single one
of Dean's fundraisers before this year was sponsored by a gay rights group.
It's one thing to "love the sinner, hate the sin" and other to be partnered
and allied with those against Christianity. And he'll only talk about it in
South Carolina, but religion won't affect his policies. Well if it won't
effect your policies, then why bring it up. Having a religious conversion is
supposed to change your heart, your behavior, your life. I am glad our
current president walks the talk and you can see it in what he says and does.
His salvation story is great and you can really see he is a changed man. I
just read an article last week from Chuck Colson about his Angel Tree
ministry and how the president and his wife spent time on christmas eve
delivering toys to inner city black kids in texas. It wasn't a photo-op as he
stayed much later after the cameras and reporters left, his "faith" is
bringing about "works". I'm also glad he doesn't check his religion at the
door when he walks into work each day. Being a Christian is more than just
going to Church Sunday mornings and Wednesday Nights!
