I'll be giveing you some food to chew on. Feel free to throw it
out the window or munch on the flavor-

#1 There is NO WAY the patrol system can work in your situation.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

The Patrol method only works in a healthy Jr.High/High School
age boy. All ministry to young boys should be spoon fed and
Leader led.

Here's why- *The goal of a Patrol System is to bring "accountibility"
and responsibility to the boys, by use of personal interaction..
ala NTC training. *There the patrol divided talents and skill and
worked togather for the final goal of a three day "Game".

In REAL life.. A Patrol requires long term interaction with both
success and failure/recovery to build experiance...

Your boys will say: "Oh now I get it!"

2. A Boy Led group seemes redundent to the desire of most Ranger leaders
and the church.. A Boy Leader won't be able to preach as well or throw
snacks and candy for bribes, like an Adult<G>

*I thought the Outpost Council was a good Idea.. but found I had to
Teach,Instruct them even more than the boys<G> I found them to be
"Dead weight"

The best way they work is when they bring talent to a meeting.. as
in leading the feature for 4 weeks on map and compass or some other
segment. *An OP Council man wants to be involved but NOT carry the
"weight" of Commander.

So that's easy.. You let them come- You compliment them before the
boys<G>
If it's feels good.. you gained some friends and allies

Right.. *Think about this~

The motto of the boys is *READY for anything..The Code and Pledge
Adult Leaders are obsessed with "reach, teach, keep for Christ"

THAT IS TWO DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES
----------------------------------

*I beleve the adult "Mission" should be long term and silent.. as with
the virtue in patience. Powerful as that mission is to your motivation,
Royal Rangers is NOT about you. It's NOT about your Pastor or his agenda.

It's more like a gift to the boys for "them to discover"
