I sent out another 4 bow drill fire kits tonight. I have a few left. These kits are neat, small and are hand made. I thought I was all setup for the Commanders Conference I had 12 kits and you firebugs are going to make me make me spend a few hours making up another batch of kits. The postage ended up being a little over 2.00 per kit so my profit margin is about to make me bankrupt but I am having a great time spending all this free time making these nifty little gems up.
Acutally its almost as good as building a camp fire when I get to make sure each kit will indeed get you a ember if your technique is right. Every kit gets to smell up my shop and my clothes and I get to smell like I have been smoking myself in a leaf fire for a week...GRIN! Aaaaagh! What makes us happy! The funny part of this is while I am working on the phone lines around town I spot a yuka plant with dead sticks popping out of the middle of it and I get to go up to the house and knock on the door and ask them If I can have that dead stick in the middle of that yuka plant..most say what do you want it for... well I do Royal Rangers..... God can even use a Yuka Flower Stick Scrounger to spread, water or plant the Gospel in some ones life. The other night I took a picture of the council fire starter setup I had and pasted it on here and pasted a link to the website. Already had some positive feed back and some outposts will be having fun tom marrow night assembling and testing their setups. Hope to get some pictures from them. (My wife thinks I am cratus pots and a little eccentric, specially when I was taking pictures of it while they were playing scrabble) Me..
