DJ,
There
are several ways to build an indoor council fire. The neatest I've seen is a
small fan and light kit that blows colored cloth making it look like flames.
Sold in thrift shop as a Halloween item.
Or,
just find a small fan and some colored paper. With an orange colored light (or
Yellow) on a single socket just put some wood around it (not
touching).
Stick
with a devotion. Songs and yells and skits, oh my.
Have
fun with it and God Bless,
Bob

Hey all,
We are experiencing The Blessing of the Lord
within our Rangers outpost. Last week we had the most boys we've had
since I've been with our outpost. This week one of last week's first
timers brought a friend to make even more than last week (16)! Which
brings me to a question for y'all.
Next weekend we are having a lock in. We
are making it an advancement lock in where we will earn the Ropecraft and
Basic Sign Language Merits. The boys are excited and planning on a lot
of fun as we haven't had a lock in in about a year. However, with new
boys coming, I want to do an indoor council fire service to make an
impact. Brings me to my question for y'all to ponder. Having never
seen an actual council fire I don't know how to modify one for indoors.
Any suggestions for an indoor council fire? Do I just give a short
devotion or a slightly longer sermonette? I know the main goal is to
point the boys to Jesus, but the best way at a council fire would be
how?
I only have a week to get this ready, so any
help, suggestions, tips or pointers you can give me are gratefully
appreciated.
In His Service,
DJ
