Camping you say?  Guess it would qualify.. The So Cal District held its Phase II/ Trace over the weekend.   We were up on top of a mountain at about 4,000' , mid way between Bakersfield & Mojave, not bad during the day but pretty cool at night.  Actually it was pretty nice.  I've been there at times when it was cold & raining or the wind was blowing pretty hard & no one wanted to come out of their shelters.   We had a pretty good turnout from our section with 9 of us old timers & two new greenhorns joining up this year.  I hear we may have two or three more new ones next year.   Jim Hufferd
