*It rained yesterday in Portland,Oregon<G> after a 2 week dry spell! This morning, I rode my bike through a forest shrouded by fog from the nearby Willamette River. The air was chilled as I turned off the bike lane beside a road and entered the forest bike path. I rode through a dense fog and into a cool dark shaded canopy of tall trees.. Maple-Fir and Hemlock. The forest floor was covered by blackberry and bracken ferns and clusters of sword fern.. and the fog swirled through the trees.. The bike trail was paved with no side trails to get lost on... so I enjoyed the quiet and the feel of the mist on my face.,though it was dark and quiet, compared to the hustle of the traffic on the street. My mind centered on a passage of scripture that describes a "valley of shadow of death" and the ride had a spooky feel. *I looked ahead.. and suddenly it looked like a massive searchlight was sweeping through the trees! The Sun had broken through in one patch and one spot on the forest floor right by the trail was light like a stage! I stopped my bike and reached my hand into the light beam.. and there was a clear definition of where it started because of the diffused light trapped by the mist of the fog.. *I could "feel" on my hand the heat and energy of the sunlight! *It felt "warm"... As I rode on slowly.. the "searchlight's" through the trees seemed to be looking for someone, but then I understood it was that way because I was moving.....when I stoped.. they stoped! Guys.. The Love of God "searches" for us... But we remain in the shadows of the love of the Lord.. We must move to the light, and stop to feel the power of the Holy Spirit on our lives. The Holy Spirit is a "comforter" and giudes us in doing right. You need to know something about God first! He is HOLY and PURE! *God cannot tolerate sin! We are separated from him from birth because we were born in sin! There is a great gulf between us and the Love of God, and to fellowship or "Know" his love and light.. we must become PURE and HOLY! We do that through accepting his son *Jesus into our lives.. Jesus comes to us, dwells with us and CLEANS OUT THE GARBAGE AND SIN! Jesus was born a boy like you and I were born, but God allowed that so that a "Bridge" might span the gap between us as men and God allmighty.. *How many right now want that? *How many are not sure they are clean and pure? If the power of GOD were to shine on you would be found acceptable to the lord? There's a way to know! How many want to make that decision right now? ..then pray this prayer and believe it in your heart! "..Thank You Father for sending your son into this world.. I accept him and ask forgiveness for any sin and wrongs that would be unacceptable to you. Cleanse me now and make me PURE and HOLY and worthy of you. I put my faith and trust in you.. In the name of Jesus..
