I was asked to accept a job as a Commander of "Challengers" in the new Outpost that Josh and I attend... This is a good group and two members already wear the GMA with a third close behind.. One of the group has also completed all 5 NW Dist academy camps... *But as to "MY" decision.. It's on ice!<G> *I "challenged" the boys... I believe in Boy Leadership...I believe the Ranger Code and Pledge is to "do our best" and I believe each of us has a personal relationship with the Lord. Our Lord holds high standards, and cannot tolerate un-kindness or sin. *If we are to be in fellowship.. then we are to LOVE one another, even to "prefer" our brother to ourselves. I will not plan a meeting or facilitate a event, If we succeed.. and we will<G> ...all the honor (In Christ) goes to you boys who planned and led the event. I will act as a coach, and a "sounding board" ..and I might drive the van.<G> *But among other responsilbilities.. YOU WILL PAY YOUR OWN WAY! .....I do not say this in anger, but out of *respect for you and your potential. Leadership is the key here.. You will shortly be charting your individual future, making choices that will impact your lives, and god willing the lives of Christian families in the future. *A Great part of the success of Royal Rangers comes from proper planning and following through with the agreements we make. Our word is our bond, and to the degree that we keep our word.. we operate in Honor. Not everything will go like planned.. People fail, people fall into conflict.. *But you boys as Leaders will use the skills you have to tackle the problem using creativity and virtue to smooth troubled water...
