What do fellers do about heat?

Do yah hang late around the fire and retire to a zero de-gree bag?<G>

The Northwest has a strange effect with camping outdoors, the humidity
makes it very un-healthy to get cold and stay cold. I've camped in the
Rockies and down in the desert... and you can tollerate and dress warm
where a storm comes then clears out...

They don't do that here;'(....

What will happen about NOW (Late Oct. ect. is that Injun summer
goes right into the storm season for endless waves of clouds to
hit the coast from 12,000 miles of open north pacific. They are heavy
with cold water and by the time they drop it to rise over the Cascade's
another storm track has delevered the next storm<G>

It takes an expert to tell when one rain storm has ended and the next has
started... Heheheee

When we get snow.. and we do! It 'taint that sissy fluffy stuff but is the
BIG HONKING WET STUFF that melts right thru yur gear...

*For authintic Fur traper weather reports read Lewis and Clark's winter
camp-out report on the Oregon coast<G> Out'er 100 and sum days only 2!
didn't rain....

*All that said.. I camp all year long. But don't try to get social with
me in a storm<G> I elevate my bunk and I wrap the camp in cheap blue tarps
and add turbo heat!

One day I'll move to Zzzyzx Calif! and die of sunshine.....<G>
