Hi,
I can't help but noticed that some of you enjoy the rain and wind. Some are
also concern with what the young bucks might think when they go through this
kind of situation. Well, I myself went through a similar situation during my
JLTC. I'm from Malaysia, a land of summer all year long, not forgetting the
rain too. It was November, the monsoon rain season and there we were, in a
reserve forest. The camp was 4 days long and it rained for 3days. We had to
cook all our lunch and dinner in rain, which we somehow manage to do. Though
the rain made things so hard, most of us enjoyed it. The staff did a good
job ensuring that everyone was in good health throughout the camp. God
allowed the rain to help build our characters. Some of us went there with
attitude problems, but came back changed and renewed. The rain and hardship
help revealed the hidden side of most of us. Some were greedy, lazy, selfish
but have learned to share and to cooperate because that's only way all of us
could get through.
So for those who worry about the young bucks in the FCF trace, why don't
just pray and commit them to the Lord when a situation like this happen next
time. You never know what an experience like this can do for them.
