I've been putting pieces of my history back into my sock drawer, hunting down lost knives and acquiring the dream toys that I figured one day I would own<G> *Not!

There's sport here in that, but also danger<G>

I discovered a Navy film about "Beans,Bullets and Black Oil" and bought the video
version for $!0 to see the ship I served on in the Vietnam war...  It was there in all it's
haze gray glory<G>

(*I just deleted several pages of text describeing my thoughts at seeing this film.. I've boiled it down to three words:
HARD WORK- BOREDOM)

.. sometimes we are better not to look back, but rather gaze ahead at the future and
dream what we could be, and use the tools today that God gives us.. Cdr.Johnnie gave us a Uniform and a meeting<G>
and childhood to a boy lasts his whole life<G>

The boys don't know how brief a time they have!  *But in quiet reflection.. they ask:

*What will I become? *Who will I marry?*Where will I live? *Will I become famious?

The future is everything to them and *shapeing it is the work of building character.

The questions you might ask are: *Will you lie? Will you steal? will your word be your bond?
*Will you be there for a friend? *Where ever you go.. will Jesus remain with you?...

*Will you Love and Be Loved.. *Will you succeed and try-try again.. *Will you have faith ?
