That is kind of what I was trying to ask. Not saying it was a sin or not,
but the boy was trying to challenge me whever it was right or not. I even at
a time considered piercing my ear. Dont really know what the reasoning was
and dont  have a problem with this like some others do. In fact many times
my hair gets long enough for a pony-tail and my beard also gets rather
bushy. I was more or less trying to get the boy to think about the
consequences of the act. Who was he trying to look cool for?
I know the pony-tail and beard is also a touchy subject also, in fact my
late father-in-law a old time holiness preacher had quite the fit over my
appearance, especially after the church elected me to be one of their board
members. My reply was they had confidence in who I was and I wasnt going to
change to fit the mold that the people set forth. I have been relected for
second time of serving the church which shows me they have confidence in me.
In fact the first time I was elected to the board I was not even at the
church that weekend. ( I was at FCF spring trace)
