*Boys get things right- and then they sometimes go off course... Royal Ranger's has a "Framework of organization" to help settle the dust. A boy packs a basic concept of "fairness" that comes out in scrapes on the playard or in games played where something goes wrong.. *Some boys dominate and rule by power and intimidation. *Some boys yield to avoid a fight for fairness and submit to the powers that be- To the "upset" we bring -The patrol... We do not know or can we fix everything and every issues in a boys life with a hour and a half meeting on Wens day night. But some day a boy with an issue will face the problem, whatever it is- and hopefully Rangers has been a Blessing.... and will have been *IF we followed our course of training. One of the basic issues that face us all is the need for acceptance and approvial..by our peers and co-workers, bosses and leaders. Even better would be to find a role in a happy home and the warmth of christian fellowship among brothers. *How do we get there from here? It's easy as 1-2-3! 1. Yield! Our spirits cry out for our success and in striving for something greater, many have become confused by "what is of value". Things- Items-toys-entertainment keeps us from the core prize that we desire. *Love... The first thing to do to improve the Outpost is to build trust and endear the boys to *Love! They must yield their spirit to be used for good and not evil.. *Light and not *Dark.. 2.Accept- You wouldn't think this would be hard in our fellowship- to accept and join Royal Rangers but it is! *Many boys and leaders just have not given in to joining the *program... and continue to "Hold-back" their best from a full and complete acceptance of being a true blue Royal Ranger! It's simple to do your best when the beneficiary is you! *Belonging and claiming Rangers as "your thing" makes it easy to stretch that last inch to greatness<G> *Believeing!- You must believe that by implementing the Royal Ranger *program and using the patrol method you will be in fellowship with others! These concepts were not developed for you to ignore... But rather by embracing them as core values.. and teaching them to the boys- you can find the freedom to implement Cdr.Johnnies beautiful dream. you must believe in Royal Rangers and it's purposeful mission to reach, teach and keep boys for Christ, and that their is a practical side to the training and organizational structure. The *program helps us organize thoughts into action! ...by having in place a system of boy leaders- We expand communication and share ownership in the successes we make by deploying active and alive young men in service to God -their church and their fellowman! First we help ourselves!- All of us need encouragement to improve our attitude and station in life.. by reaching out to each other we gain more than we give... Next we help others- >From time to time we feel alone and neglected, fearful of change and the future.. a warm smile and open hand can light a dark room and bring us into fellowship and make useful more friends along the way to the great beyond! We can help God! God needs us to share the power of his Love with others and bring them along to a saving knowledge of Christ! *Then nurture them and guide them to a better place of Christian maturity. The challenge is there before us for 38 years to do right! People want success.. and will pay any price to belong to a successful group! For Royal Ranger to grow we MUST be more than what we "think" we must tear down the walls we have built to remain safe in failure and constrict bridges for those who come! Do the Program!
