*I rode a mule down the Grand Canyon once and that was more'n enough for a lifetime<G> *But the way I understand your comment is thus- *Sir Brian... "There's dis-comfort in the gestation period of the Mother of the savior!" *We in USA Rangers are awaiting the birth of a new "era" with *expectancy.. and have been "promised" a new way to reach Millions of boys for Christ. My heart was telling me to "Prepare" and make ready-READY! for the new task, with the new tools... for a new "Harvest".. *The challenge I saw was not... *Not to treat this as "the same old meal, left over" or another "Burger from a fast food chain" *but in fact to look at this as a time to sharpen our personal ministry! I enjoyed Section 5 of the Ranger LTC for it offered wise council in the management of the role we are to play... *But I also, know that as "play" is a boys work.. our presentation should be light and happy and full of life... in fact *Play! before the boys! Nothing recruits people faster than a "good time"...and there should be JOY in the house of the Lord and Joy in our work! *Now 'nuff of the "preaching-" Here's something I learned that will change any Outpost meeting- *You as "Leader" must gain RESPECT. The golden rule suggests that you should then SHOW RESPECT! ...and the thing that works is simply lifting a "Hand" in the air. ------------------------------------------------------------ Start every sentence you speek in silence.., and use your "calm" voice.. Stand there like a fool, *respecting the boys...<G> If you don't beleve it.. don't give up on them<G> Just keep on respecting them.. Tell them what you are doing.. "I'm standing here with my hand raised showing you respect... you can respect yourself and each other and me if you join me by raiseing your hand and being quiet..." Do just that and your entire Outpost will change for the better.. *That is a fact... -=A=- Brian Wood wrote: > All > > What Duane is saying is scriptural.
