The GOSPEL in a nutshell is LOVE!
-------------------------------------

..and I love Cdr.Brian Hendreckson<G>

The presentation of the May 18th version of the new program was
excellent!

A major improvement is for Ranger leaders to have a prepared plan to use

intact, or moderate to fit the need for a planned meeting- further...
flexibility
in presentation is encouraged and so is use of BOY LEADERS to present
the nights 10 point plan of the meeting.

I see much work in development of resources to back the leader, and
the boys for success as they arrive anytime of the year, and where they
"are" in a age group. This is long needed and revolutionary, and will
succeed!

What we were presented was an "overall meeting plan" and organizational
restructure of the groups, to develop a circular and linear advancement
program...

What we didn't see was the job requirements for Outpost development and
hands on - nuts and bolts- how to build a patrol based Outpost....

In fairness- that topic was briefly mentioned, under future training...
but is
key to the understanding I received from NTC!

At NTC-

We leaders were placed at random into patrol and our "guide" was
made responsible for the implimentation of the requirements and reported

directly to Sr.Guide. *Sr.Guide was the "Head Honcho!"

We were told by Sr. Guide to keep balanced as to the priorities in our
lives... that in fact following our relation with the Lord our FAMILIES
were paramount *before "Ministry"....

Since 1962 the start of Royal Rangers- *our mission has been:

"To have Men as role models-Reach-Teach-and Keep Boys for Christ"

This has elevated the role of MEN as leaders, above the Rangers
themselves
and our Sisters that are invited to serve the younger boys... *this has
been done
by policies of the Executive, even though the practice is not universal
in our
Assemblies as noted in a position paper signed by the General Council.
(*see AoG position papers-"Women in Ministry")

It was my desire to share the leadership role in a way that my Outpost
could see
Male- *Christian family man integrate his family and those other boys of
the Outpost
who came into a wholesome mix of FAMILY BASED FELLOWSHIP! *I also
desired to Honor those to whom Honor was deserved.. and without
question-
Women who serve in Rangers as leaders deserve more than a fair shake..
they
must be grated full and heartfelt acceptance, without stigma...

I believe we are very very close to understanding the importance of this
concept!
We at at the brink of expanding- our fellowship and growing in grace-
and peace!

If we are to preach a word- the word we preach must be *LOVE!

The most sacred word and concept we must share is a open hand and ready
heart
to accept and prefer others, to OUR DESIRES! *This gracious and
gallant attitude
is know as "Chivalry" ...where we recognize the beauty of each
believers call to
service and extend our fellowship to *Include... and not *exclude fellow
workers
for christ...

*If our Mission is truely:

"To Reach-Teach-and Keep Boys for Christ"

Then it is God who calls "who-so-ever-will" to put a hand to the task,
and it
is for us to accept-beleve-and confess the wisdom of that!

*I agree that GENDER FAIRNESS is not the "main-thing"... However it
continues to be a Man-Made wall to the full use of resources and
*vision..

Remove the "stumbling block" and let all of us.. MEN and WOMEN serve
as "Adult Leaders of Royal Rangers" in all positions and at all
campfires of fellowship.
