There's one Buckskin Pastor I love to the bone.. Dan "No Map" Womack who is the NW Dist. FCF Chaplan and pastor of a pioneer church of 50 folks<G> "No Map" is an "artist" and a Human being... ready with a quip- a dig and a prayer<G> His arms are allways open to a hug and a tear, and mayby a plate of cornbread'n beans<G> For years I've seen him "set up" in the village at NW Ranger Camp and "chat" with the passing boys and men about "art" but I've never seen him "work" something up from nothing<G> *Time just escapes as he shares the Lord... at the exspence of a project.Heheee This year was differen't! Marcus Whitman Chapter decided to impliment a youngbuck apprentice program, and match a Old Timer with a youngbuck in the trades.. I had Josh "white river" sit with me and pick Banjer and taught him a few new licks and reels... Pastor Dan "No Map" aquired a youngbuck.. and went through his talk one time and then turned the "talking-shareing-spiritual slant" over to the young FCF helper... *Later at dinner.. "No Map" shared that it was a strange pleasure to just be there and paint to the talk the youngbuck shared with the passing groups of Rangers.. That all he did was "outline" what he was doing and wanted covered.. ..and the youngbuck developed the "talk'n part"<G> (Conclusion Number one) *Both the Old Timer and the youngbuck got along.. and thought it worked out good! It gave a morale boost to the youngbuck and made him feel "important" and involved in the "ministry" of FCF (Conclusion number two) It blessed the Old timer to "mentor" but also save his voice for duties that night at the alter... and allowed him to paint and complete a "project".. The effectiveness overall of the event may have been raised!
