*Good Job " Cdr.Dogbone"<G>

I am not opposed to boys signing off boys- BSA Scouts do that if
the patrol leader is first class and above.. or in Ranger terms "Advanced Rate"

What I am opposed to is the attitude of not relfecting on the merits of the
Ranger Code when assigned the duty of "judgeing advancement progress"..

IMHO- "with God's help, I will do my best" means- "I WILL do my best"

The big pictrure may be that we preach forgiveness, mercy and being READY
to parrot back the right answer whithout the fundimental "heart" or "spine" in
place. The conflicts between *ministry and *program come from the heritage
we have had that mear "attendence equals an opportunity for ministry" and
accountibility or "Honor" in achievements is secondary.

The President- spoke today about his "spiritual relationship" and
said a very honest thing! *He said that he was guilty of beleveing
that Honor and Integrity was seperate from a total blend of-

*Body- *Mind- and *Spirit!

He said that though his "intentions" were to be honorable.... he now
knows that he fells short by not reflecting honor in his *body with
reguard to the "mistakes" that were so recently made public.

Our Ranger boys have not made those mistakes- *But if they treat
RRangers as something they can "dodge" or "rip-off" and feel that
something else is real.. say "Thrasher skateboards" they make the same
moral mistake as defilement of the temple of God!

They "seperate" the mind from *spirit... or the seperate the body/flesh
from the *mind...

The Four GOLD points of the emblem stand for 4 ways a boy grows-
they are to "blend" and meld a wholeistic view of one's life and what one does
with a challenge.

*If you steal an advancement- GOD KNOWS!
