The fire in the Olympic stadium in Sydney was carried by many hands
across many lands to light the fire, where the worlds youth has
gathered.
What can we learn about this task.. Why must the fire remain
un-molested?
In thinking about my role as a Ranger Commander I sometimes think
the Outpost is mine to own and rule, for so much of it's life is
dependent
on my integrity, my honor and my passion...In think of the program, and
the ministry shared with others.
But on reflection it is not mine... I was handed a TORCH to carry for
just a time.. the fire in my heart is shared by many who received a call
to
reach, teach, and keep the fire bright! The Torch we share leads us to
our heavenly home, and the love of the Master Ranger.
...and in this life, if that fire should dim, I know that another will
come
to lift the torch high and the wind will fan the embers again to flame!
...and in the distance as they run, I see the flame being carried to new
places and new people, and it becomes clear... the runner carries the
torch- but the torch carries the fire... and it is that fire that lights
the way!
