Last night when Kathy Freeman light the couldron did a lot to help us white Aussies
reconcile ourselves with our Native Aussies. This issue has divided the country. Yet
in
brief moment we saw that they are true Aussies. They have produced many
champions like Lionel Rose, World Champion boxer, Jeff Feneck, World Champion
boxer, Kathy Freman, Atheltetics, Mal Manginga, Rugby League, Mark Ella, Rugby
Union, Barrem Barmen, Politics. There are many more in field of sports and
community service that have left their mark on this country.
BTW, Not to many people would that Shane Gould, who carried the touch in the
Stadium is a CHristian. I've known Shane for 30 years although I lost contact for a
while when she went to Western Australia with her then husband Niel. Boy she looked
good last night.
