Gunter, I put my vote in for you as Commander Congeniality. You have put a
very gracious light on things and I thank for your thoughtful post. I do
doubt that the youth idea will take off, but I think your observations about
RRs beginnings in our country versus other nations was right on the money.
Thank you for the heart of a peace maker.
Kelly
PS. I still would like to come to Germany and say howdy!
Yes, Adrian I also want to come to Australia and bring about some of the
havoc that only two redheads can bring.

Subject: Re: [RR] We will be left behind (girls in Rangers)
Dear US-friends in RR,
I think that we have to realize that we must acknowledge the history of
RR's in the US.
It is -almost- completely different from many other countries.
It grew out of the mens ministry and as far as I know it is still an
extension of it.
While at the same time the womans ministry was also in operation at the
time the vision of RR's was born.
JB carried it out- for the mens ministry.
Strictly a mens-boys set-up.
Now the woman developed the Missionettes.
Very logical.
Now we as non-US blokes came along, picked up the idea and were not
bound by the US-way of thinking at the time of the conception of RR's.
I guess if they would have looked further down the road . . . .
We could learn from the US-arrangement and started RR's a bit different,
with the girls in mind.
And therefore we do not have the established deep
mens-womans-ministry-root-work our US-friends have to live with.
Let's recognize this fact.
We can argue until we are blue in the face, nothing will happen.
But let us pray about it and see the outcome.
I have the following suggestion to make:
Put the RR's under the cover of the Youth ministry and let it be run as
an extension of it.
Youth does not seem to have a boy-girl division, or does it ?
In Germany the RR's are organized as an extension of Youth.
In my OP 64 Calvary Chapel Siegen we have deliberately put ourselfs
under the Youth ministry and are accountable to the Youth-pastor
directly.
And so are many OP's set up here.
My impression is that we beat this horse to death and many will be
discouraged in the course.
Dead horse means no rid'n !
If I am off the wall or out in left field in this matter then please
disregard this mail and chuck it.
It is not my intention to open another can of worms.
( But my RRnet experience tells me that some worms do crawl out ).
I have put on my asbestos suit- just in case.
