One thing missing from the discussion is the nature of the programs - Royal
Rangers is Christian boy scouts while Missionettes is bible study for girls.

Royal Rangers was founded to evangelize boys for Christ, develop the total
boy for Christ (spiritually, physically, mentally, and socially), to keep
boys in our churches, and to provide an alternative activity to counter
those offered by secular society.

Missionettes was started to prepare girls to be missionaries; hence, the
name mission-ettes.

Thus, while Missionettes can go camping, it is an aside and not their main
feature.
