Well said Commander Pier.

My wife became a Commander two months after I did (four years ago). At
our outpost, we bus kids in for the Ranger and Missionette programs.
After class is over the boys are out playing in an enclosed grassy area
between the two education wings. When Darlene and I walk along the side
walk together and the, apx. 68% bussed Pioneer group, sees us together -
they actually STOP playing and just watch us together. The majority of
them are from fatherless homes and the mothers send them to us to "get
them out of the house" or "get them the way" or "to just get rid of them
for a while". I feel that Darlene is providing one of the best examples
possible for a boy to see, a WORKING marriage and shared
responsabilities. They also look forward to the times that the SA's come
into the Pioneer room and Commander Darlene stands by MY SIDE and teaches
a class WITH me.

Yes, I am VERY proud of my Godly wife and her level of comitment to
follow Gods Calling and Reach, Teach , and Keep boys for Christ - RIGHT
BY MY SIDE.

Kerry.
