        Subject: [RR] Low Ropes Requirements

The following are the requirements for the new Low Ropes Safety

of
adverse weather to a low ropes course.

        3. Explain why all equipment should be inspected before each use at
the

                             Carabiner (D ring) on
                             Carabiner (D ring) off
         Belayer- Belay on
                       Belay off
                       Carabiner (D ring) on
                       Carabiner (D ring) off

        6. Demonstrate the following under the supervision of an approved
        instructor:
Tie a water knot using a web strap designed for life support.
Tie a "figure 8 on the bight" knot.
Set a belay line on a low ropes station.
Belay a person under the supervision of an approved instructor.

        7. Put on and wear properly a safety seat harness.

        8. Successfully complete at least 10 stations (elements) of a low
ropes
course under the supervision of an approved instructor.

        9. Demonstrate under the supervision of an approved instructor and
explain to him what "spotting" is as it relates to low ropes safety.

        10. List and explain what each one of five pieces of safety
equipment
should be on a low ropes course.

        11. Write a 200 word theme on "What I Learned on a Low Ropes
Course".
Submit this theme to the course instructor or your outpost
commander.

        12. Take a written test of not less than 25 true or false questions
given by your low ropes instructor based on the low ropes safety
course
you studied. You must score at least 80% correct to pass.

Well, that's the low ropes stuff. I'll try to put up the
requirements
for High Ropes & Rapelling over the next couple of days. Hope this
        helps!
