I really did not want to go into all this here. I repent of ever having
brought it up.
Here goes. Please understand that this is the condensed, dehydrated
version.
When the original translators were interpreting the Bible they separated the
New from the Old, because of a belief that the Jews killed Jesus. The Jews
were persecuted for many centuries because of this belief. Even Martin
Luther wrote that the Jews should be "wiped out" because of what they did to
Jesus Christ. Anyway the interpreters of Gods word wanted to separate the
(OT) Jews from the (NT) Jews that were replaced by the "church" of Jesus
Christ. There are still those that teach that Gods covenant moved from the
Jews to the church because the Jews killed Christ.
Okay, I've said enough and no longer wish to pursue this.
The Jews are Gods chosen people. We (the Gentile) were included in God's
chosen people because of Christ's death, not because the Jews are being
punished by God for killing His Son. I am an adopted Jew. I am an adopted
brother of Christ. Gods' covenant is with Abraham, Isaac and Israel.
