*I was pumping the Mt. Bike up a long grade and thinking about the
positive attributes of work and effort... *obviously, my legs hurt
with that "burn" when you use them for power.. and also *I'm in poor
shape so my heart was trying to jump out of my chest.. and my breath
was a staccato beat in the morning chill<G>
I was thinking about Sacrifice... the play of tradeing comfort for
discomfort... of tradeing a warm cab and a soft seat for a hard climb
up a grade I never noticed before<G>
I wondered if God desires sacrifice... the putting of others before
ourselves, for that get's preached a lot.. *But in this case.. I was
getting exercise and transportation *free by rideing me bike and chooseing
to do so of my own free will... *what sacrifice was that?
I began to think again of *Mitch Silvers and his "sacrifice" in giveing
his life for freedom... *and that seemed such a strange way to say a
young man died in combat....to defend America and another country long
gone.
Knowing he was with the Lord, wraped in Agape' Love... better fits
my sence of values and destiny... *I want to feel the presence of the
Lord! I want *Mercy...
The pain in my legs from the ride.. amazeingly feels like a comfort..
like after working hard brings a feeling of satisfaction (sometimes<G>)
and doing right...
