THIS STORY IS TRUE. I PUT THIS IN WRITING TO INSPIRE AND CHALLENGE YOU TO
HIGHER HEIGHTS.

Yes we have been on a slippery slope, and many a church are dead. Very few
are alive like the church of Acts. In
Revelation, Jesus had something to say to 7 churches, yet he had good to
say to only 2 of them. May the church in
these last days not be counted with the five.

Yet, God IS turning hearts around. To illustrate, this is a true story
that has happened in just the last few weeks within our church.

There is a young man (Tim, about 19-20 yrs. old) within our church that has
had a burden for about the last 1 1/2 yrs to
minister somehow in the depressed parts of Denver. He has within the last
6 mos or so moved and is ministering
to homeless youths near downtown Denver. The last 5 weeks he has been
bringing these youth to church (we have had
upwards of 15-20 of them). There was one girl in particular who gave her
testimony yesterday, and we have learned more
about this instance through our cell group. (we do not have Sunday night
services, we meet in small groups for service, prayer)

When she was 2 years old, Mary (name has been changed), she was abandoned
by her parents. She was raised by foster parents
who were into the occult. She has been into the occult since that time.
(how many of you could imagine your young daughter in the
occult, expecially at the age of 2 !?!?!) She ran away from that sitution
when she was 11 and has been living on the streets since. She
is 18. When she first started coming her hair was dyed black (we have
learned that this was done with goats blood) and she wore
sunglasses all the time. Apparently, in the occult, you are not allowed to
let anyone see you eyes for fear that they will see that you
are involved and possessed. Well, we are an extremely active church. Many
of the youth are "holy rollers" during the worship service,
which lasts about an hour. Mary would mostly fidget in her chair,
especially during prayer.

After church service the youth are taken to a home for lunch, and attend
the cell group that Tim attends. The first few weeks, Mary just
sort of hung out there. The third week they were there, and I don't know
how this came about, she was in an upstairs bedroom with Paul,
the leader of this cell group (a spirit filled man who also ministers in
the Colorado prison system), the wife who lives in this home and
maybe a few others. They were praying over Mary. She would vomit on the
bed (the vomit was said to smell of sulpher), and spout
obscenities at the people. Yes, she was demon possessed. Unbeknownst to
the people praying over Mary, the youth had congregated
downstairs and were praying, along with the adults of the cell group, for
her. After a few minutes of this the demons
in Mary shouted to those with her "TELL THOSE PEOPLE DOWNSTAIRS TO STOP
PRAYING". They intensified their praying and
they started casting out demons. The demons thold those casting them out
"IF YOU CAST US OUT, WE WILL ENTER YOUR CHILDREN"
( how many of you would shake at hearing this). As they were praying for
her, God was giving Paul scripture after scripture that he was
reciting to the demons. Tim was rebuking the spirits in Jesus's name and
evnetually the were all cast out. There were upwards of 13 or
more demons living in Mary.

2 weeks later Mary invited them back in, but the next day she was so
distraught that she KNEW she could not live like that, and was prayed over
again, and was once again delivered. She has since un-dyed (if that is a
word) her hair, removed the sunglasses, and destroyed everything
connecting her with her old lifestyle. The youth she lives with in the
shelter say she is a complete different person. Mary was needing some
way to get around, and prayed that God would provide some means of
transportation for her. A few days later, someone came up to here and
told here that she felt she was supposed to give here a monthly bus pass.

Also, the first week, one of the homeless youth stole a wallet from the
house they went to after the church service. He came back a few days
later,
and returned the wallet , saying that he has come under such conviction
that he knows he can not keep it.

These are street people, folks. Kids who usually do what they can to get
along. Yet, God IS turning their hearts around.
