OK. Here's one for you. Stop me if you've heard this one before.
Four Rangers are on their way to assembly before the evening council fire.
They come to a small bridge. The bridge is so narrow, only two people can
cross at a time. They only have one lantern and it is so dark, the lantern
must accompany the persons crossing.
Here's where it gets tricky. Assembly begins in 17 minutes! John will take
1 minute to cross the bridge. Billy can cross it in 2 minutes, Tom does it
in 5 minutes and Abraham takes ten minutes to cross. When two are crossing,
the faster boy slows down to accommodate the slower boy.
How can all four of them get across in 17 minutes (no more than 2 boys at a
time) understanding that they always need the lantern to cross?
