Yes, there is something similar available in the US. Go out to a local
highway construction site. Dip your spoon into the hot asphalt and taste.
You've just discovered Vegemite. For a tast a little closer to home, go out
to your car and try some axle grease!!!
Oh, and be sure to thinly spread it on a cracker that is also lightly
buttered. It greatly improves the taste!
