SERMON ON THE AMOUNT

The Bible says more about money and how we spend it than it says about
heaven, hell, or salvation. The Good News about Jesus Christ is free,
and our salvation, which cost Jesus His life, is now paid for and free
for the accepting. Jesus commanded us to go and preach the Gospel to
all nations (Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8).

It sometimes takes money to do that. It takes partnership, with some
people going, and some people sending. Missionary offerings enable us
to send some people to do things for the Kingdom of Heaven that they
couldn't do on their own.

Rawie Haas is a missionary to the former Soviet Union, currently serving
in Latvia. He started Royal Rangers in Russia, and is working to expand
this ministry. He will get the first US$1,000 of this offering.

When the clear proceeds exceed that amount, we will allocate funds to
also support World Compassion/Terry Law Ministries. Terry Law is a
mighty apostle of faith who works in countries that appear to be closed
to the Gospel, like North Korea, Cuba, China, and others. His ministry
provides humanitarian aid, Bibles, Gospel tracts, Bible tapes, and
teaching tapes to literal multitudes of people.

Just so you know, Rainbow Missions (a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization)
is not keeping any of the offering money, and will not keep any of the
"profit" on the souvenirs beyond what it costs to make and ship them
and the very small amount it takes to operate RangerNet. We are doing
this fundraiser because we want to help make disciples of Jesus Christ
in all nations, especially in places where the Gospel is not well
known, yet.
