The three points of the Scout emblem, like the three fingers raised
in the Scout sign... *affirms the three parts of the Scout oath...
Duty to GOD
Duty to others
Duty to self
The two stars on the emblem have "meaning" representing Truth and Knoledge
(*and in my 1960 BSA handbook clearly looks to be an open Bible!)
*I wonder if the Heritage of Religious Freedom...would be respected if
everyone could see the hands and heart of the Gospel at work around the
world to feed the hungry and cloth the naked... *If perhaps "boys" who
"affirmed an Oath" in youth carried the desire to act responsibly as
citizens and as Heads of households...
There seems to be a reluctence or fear of haveing *Integrity... that
somehow a man of his word, with religious conviction... is a man to be
challenged and "brought down"....
The US Public continues to give high job rateing to a *Lier.. and
a man who would brake his *Promise's... *But this "man" who holds
the office of president hostage...
"finds it Important to walk down the steps of a Church with a Bible in
hand... and invoke "God" in conversation.."
