I see your point. I never really thought of it that way.
Usually, the people I respond with a page number from the Leaders Manual
to are commanders (one of whom I have met) although, I agree that they
may not have a leaders manual available to them, maybe they sould think
of getting one they can reference. Please don't get me wrong. I know
that the leaders manual does not cover all of the points and / or
questions that are asked. (to these questions I try to answer from
experience or what or outpost does, If I don't know the answer, I do not
answer.) I agree with you about looking up the answer first before
asking the question. My Sr. Commaner requires it of me, and I require it
of my boys. If they ask me a quetion that I know is in their Trailblazer
manual, I have them lookup the answer. If they don't have a manual, I
have them borrow someone elses.
In response toyour question, "Are they (Leaders Manuals) available across
the country?" Yes, they are. You can purchase them either through GPH
or your local Ranger Store (I personally prefer the Ranger Store to GPH)
and have it shipped directly to your doorstep. The phone Number for GPH
is (800)641-4310. The cost of the Leaders Manual through GPH is $13.95
plus shipping. The Northern Cal.Ranger Store phone number is
(800)322-4377. I don't know what they charge for the Leaders book, but
you can call them and find out. (it is probably about the same as GPH).
