I'd like to know however if "Tom Sawyer" is appropriate reading in a Royal
Ranger meeting, for use of several "terms-phrases" and political
un-correctness<G>...
I'm not opposed to a "Ranger version/Adventure story" for the boys, *But
I have not seen that welcomed at any current Ranger event I've attended..
*THIS DECADE<G>Heheeee...
I'd like Royal Rangers to be open to at times... singing a funny camp
song, hearing a tall tale that may or may-not be *Christ centered...
but allways in good taste!.......
*At no time should anything be said to "Take away" from or *Mission to
Reach,Teach and Keep... FOR CHRIST! *however.. we used to beleve in a
"whole Boy" and that included clean humor, puns and non-sence songs.

*I beleve strongly... that we should stand for a strong "values-centered"
and wholesome outlook in our Ranger boys... That satnds in addition or
"in-cluded" in difineing a *Christian young man..
*Often.. even "Church-boys" are prone to fighting or useing less that
"perfect" mannors... *All the vices of the world.. show up in my Outpost
among my boys..
We have them for such a short time... each week, that Rangers cannot
fullfill alone the job required... That takes FAMILY!
The boys reflect the family values they hail from... so as: Good Boy-
Good Family....
So we as Commanders are in a constant fight to win the desire of our boys
to participate in the true Royal Ranger *program... *BUT IF WE WIN THEM
OVER... the advancement trail offers a "tried and true" process of backing
up Character....
We will begin to see a "Loyality" and a desire to continue Royal Rangers.
That is what brought me back to the campfire of fellowship... a desire for
my son and I to re-new the fellowship of good men in service to a Master
Ranger- *Jesus Christ!
This is done thru *activities of intrest to boys... and Men<G>
