Matt..Howdy!
*It's not decideing on the pack but assessing YOU that is improtant..
You should evaluate the trails, and the use so that you decide on say..
Large Frame/Capacity for long hauls on prepared trails.. or say..
Internal frame for climbing or scramble/ over broken ground.
How much weight do you carry?
Likewise you size and physical shape will dictate a "Fixed frame"
or adjustible support...
*Are you a Youngbuck who wants to use the pack for several years?
I'd recomend a medium size then with expandible pockets.. and slideing
adjustment on the frame...
*Now add "price-availibility-ect" THINK IT ALL THRU...
...and invest the saveings on a better sleeping bag/pad<G>
Big Help right<G>
*Stay tuned as Ranger Dana Lemieux pack the pacific Crest Trail!
catch his report on the Applilacian Trail in High Adventure<G>
Go DANA!
