as a mechanic for school buses I have seen and heard of many horrors that
can happen on the road and we all have to remember there are many lives we
take in our hands when we get a van/bus load of kids on the road. I know
there is a large push at the federal level to get the Non-conforming vans
off the road. Non-conforming meaning a vehicle which basically a work truck
with seats installed and doesn't met the federal guideline set for school
bus construction. Not saying buses are perfect cause I seen one today that
hit a gate the wrong way and pinned the driver in .
We all need to pray for safety on the roads and be ready for anything ,
whether we are in a van, bus, or our own vehicles.

As a matter of fact our own church has a smaller van that we use but I will
not let it go out if I have any question on its condition. But saturday I
was driving it back from a buckaroo field day that was about 100 miles from
the church running about 65 mph myself and another van from another church ,
a newer 15 passenger passed me probably running close to 80 mph.
