Disagree.. however you can do it yur way and it's fine.
I assume then you will not "post Colors" and in that case they stand as
guardians of the flag and do not speek while occupied with the task of
holding the flag. *They are under the commands of the Color Guard leader
who will tell them everything they need to know. The Flag bearer's would
*NEVER take hand off the flags poles untill the command: Color guard
salute! is rendered... followed by: Color Guard "about face return to
ranks.... secure-stand at ease"
*I would suggest they "retreat" and carry the flags back out the asile..
*crossing again as they go before.. Old Glory allways to it's right while
moveing along...
*IF you decide to have the salutes given while the Color guard hold out
the flags... *then "post colors"...
It is proper to NOT allow the audience to secure from the
hand salute untill following the color guards salute and everyone relaxes
at the command: "Two"
Now it's getting complicated right ;')<G>
-----------------------------------------
No "Flag" police will ticket you for a well run Color Guard under any
"style" choose...
Good Luck!
