Greetings in Jesus' name.
I would like you all to be in prayer for us at Qld. # 1 as this weekend
we are taking part in the local Show.
This is an annual event and each year we have been invited to take part
and each year we are given an improved site.
Yes, I say given for we have the site for free. The rental would be many
hundreds of dollars if we were charged for it but the Show Committee
like us to be there with all our Royal Rangers activities such as
Bucking Bull, Playstation and Nintendo ( to attract the children) and
Tower of terror. Tower of Terror is milk crates stacked up and stacking
as you climb and see how many can be stacked before toppling over.
We take part in the local street parade complete with floats and
marchers. They still refer to us as Boy Scouts but we will educate them.
The Showground is right across the road from our church which makes for
an an ideal situation.
We commence Friday night and go through until Sunday afternoon.
Also a condition of the free site is that we clean up rubbish for about
30 minutes morning and night. A small price to pay.
The following Saturday is one of our fundraising projects; delivering
phone books in our local area. We can raise quite a few dollars this
way. Praise God!!
