This is *not* true. Procter & Gamble has, in fact, sued over the forwarding
of such messages...
The last such suit involved the Amway corporation (because one of their
distributors passed this along to a voice mail distribution list, and one of
the recipients passed it along to P&C); P&C lost the case for it was proven
that Amway was *actively* involved in squelching the rumor.
